Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Kmavo India Private Limited (“Kmavo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use the Kmavo and Kmavo Connect Android apps, our website, or related services. It is intended for the production releases of those apps. Development and test environments are not intended for public use.
Information You Provide and Service Information
To create and use an account, we process your name, email address, phone number, account identifier, role (for example, worker, business, or administrator), preferred language, and account-status and verification information. Firebase Authentication processes sign-in credentials; Kmavo does not use the password entered on this website’s account-deletion page for any purpose other than sending the deletion request to Firebase Authentication.
Workers may provide profile information, including city, skills, experience level and years, profile picture URL, documents or verification-related information, and profile statistics. Businesses may provide business name, category, city, description, phone and other contact numbers, profile picture URL, subscription or account-status information, and business statistics.
When the service is used to find or offer work, we process job-posting information such as job title or profile, description, skills, benefits or perks, salary or payment range, vacancies, eligibility or gender preference where supplied by the poster, work city/location, contact details, posting status, dates, tags, and related metrics. We also process job applications, including applicant and business identifiers and names, job and city, job-poster contact details, application status and status history, and application dates. We process saved-job records and notification content and delivery/read status to provide those features.
Location Information and Permissions
The apps request location permission at runtime. When permission is granted, the v1.3.0 app code obtains the device’s current latitude and longitude, uses them to resolve an address, and creates a geohash. Location and geohash fields are part of worker, business, and job-posting records. We use this information to support location-based job and business information and matching. You can decline or later revoke location permission in Android settings; location-dependent features may then be limited.
Android may allow you to choose approximate rather than precise location. The exact Android manifest permissions and the behaviour after a denial depend on the released APK configuration.
Information Collected Automatically
We process the app version, account login time, login/active/verification status, a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token in Kmavo Connect, language preference, and in-app notification metadata. The selected language is stored locally on the device using SharedPreferences.
Kmavo Connect initializes an analytics/navigation module to measure app navigation and usage. The supplied v1.3.0 source does not identify the analytics provider or its event schema; we do not state in this policy that Firebase Analytics is used. Both production apps initialize Firebase Crashlytics to report unhandled application errors. Crash reports can include error, stack-trace, and technical context needed to diagnose the failure.
Advertising
Both production app entrypoints initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK. This enables advertising support in the apps. The supplied release materials do not establish which ad formats or ad-unit IDs are used, whether ads are personalized, or the precise identifiers and data collected by a particular ad request. We do not claim personalized advertising in this policy. Google may process information under its own privacy policy when its SDK serves or measures an ad.
How We Use Information
- To create and administer accounts and authenticate users.
- To create, display, search, match, save, and manage worker profiles, business profiles, job posts, and applications.
- To provide location-based results and contact or application workflows.
- To send service notifications and display in-app notification history.
- To maintain language preferences, improve navigation and service operation, diagnose crashes, and protect the service from misuse.
Where Information Is Stored and Processed
Kmavo uses Google Firebase. Firebase Authentication is used for account authentication. The app source includes Cloud Firestore data models for user, worker, business, job, application, saved-job, and notification records. These records are processed in Firebase/Google cloud infrastructure. The account deletion page is configured for the Firebase project. Information may therefore be processed in locations where Google and its service providers operate.
We also use local device storage for the selected language. The materials reviewed do not verify that the v1.3.0 apps upload files to Firebase Storage or another file-storage provider; profile-picture and document fields are URLs or structured fields in the supplied models, not proof of an upload service.
Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information to service providers only to operate the services described above, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging for Kmavo Connect, and Crashlytics) and Google Mobile Ads. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud.
Information you include in a profile, job post, job application, or contact field may be visible to the other users for whom that feature is designed, such as workers and businesses using the marketplace. Do not include information in those fields that you do not want relevant marketplace users to see.
Notifications
Kmavo Connect uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and a local-notification service to deliver service notifications, including while the app is in the background. You can control notification permission and delivery in Android settings. The materials reviewed do not establish the exact Android notification permission declaration or the full set of notification categories.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain account and service records while they are needed to operate the service, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. You may request account deletion or deletion of personal information by contacting us using the details below. A deletion request may not remove information contained in shared job posts, applications, notifications, backups, crash reports, advertising records, or other provider-held records immediately; we will review such records under applicable law and our operational requirements.
Your Choices and Rights
You may update information in the app where that feature is available, control Android location and notification permissions, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where permitted or required by law. Your rights may vary by applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
Kmavo is a work and hiring service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date.
